Delaware Technology Center I & II

PEC provided complete mechanical and electrical due diligence analysis, engineering design and construction administration services for the renovation of the former AstraZeneca – Delaware and Chesapeake Buildings (Total – 307,000 SF) to facilitate the new JPMorgan Chase – Delaware Technology Center in Wilmington, DE. The buildings are designed to accommodate the JPMC – High Performance Workplace throughout including an 8” raised access floor in all open plan office areas to facilitate electrical and voice/data wiring to workstation furniture, open ceilings and exposed double-wall ductwork and sprinkler piping, and fluorescent linear suspended lighting to provide uniform lighting distribution, reduce glare and reduce artificial lighting energy usage.

Wilmington Workplace Revitalization

We provided complete mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection and structured cabling engineering design and construction administration services for the 350,000 SF renovation of the existing Alapocus and Brandywine Buildings to facilitate the new AstraZeneca – US Headquarters in Wilmington, DE. The buildings are designed to accommodate the AZ Collaborative Workplace with open plan office areas, collaborative meeting spaces, integrated work cafes and a fitness center.

Cherry Hill Engineering Offices

MEP engineering design services for renovation of the 20,000 square foot office area including the facility’s main entrance and lobby.

The new HVAC system is a variable refrigerant flow (VRF) system. Each office has its own ceiling cassette for individual temperature control. Conference and meeting rooms have multiple cassettes which are linked together for proper temperature control. The VRF system’s central controllers interface with the facility’s building management system (BMS) via BacNet.Dedicated outside air was provided by packaged DX units with hot gas reheat. 

State of Delaware
Carvel Office Building Renovation

Renovations to the existing, twelve-story Carvel State Office Building (330,000 sq. ft.) in Wilmington, Delaware. Design included HVAC, plumbing, fire protection and electrical systems including water source heat pump system, energy management and control systems and telecommunications / data wiring on each floor. Construction is a phased approach (floor-by-floor), tenant alteration project funded over a three-year period. Project also included a new stair-tower pressurization system, two new gas-fired boilers, gas fired domestic water heater and a new addressable fire alarm and detection system.

Computer Sciences Corporation

New Building shell and core and tenant fit-out design for two projects. Building I is a 150,000 square foot, three-story office building and Building II is a 75,000 square foot, three-story office building. PEC was responsible for the design of the MEP Systems consisting of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection and electrical systems and telecommunications and data wiring throughout.

Chestnut Run Site

New three building office complex (180,000 sq. ft.) in Wilmington, Delaware. PEC designed HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems, including VAV system, distributive, digital energy management and control systems, and data systems.
